Ingredients

100% Roast Coffee

Directions

1. Gather the following items: coarsely ground Vietnamese dark roast coffee, boiling water, sweetened condensed milk, a phin ca phe drip filter or French press cafetiere. 2. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into the bottom of your glass or cup. 3. Boil the water and let it cool down for 30 seconds to just below boiling point. 4. Measure out 2-3 tablespoons of the coarsely ground coffee and add to the phin ca phe drip filter or French press. 5. Press the grounds down gently using the top screen of the phin ca phe to ensure they're flat and even. 6. Pour just enough hot water into the phin to cover the coffee grounds and let the coffee grounds bloom for 20 seconds. 7. Fill to the top of the phin with hot water, place the lid on the phin and allow the coffee to drip slowly through into the glass or cup, which takes between 4 to 6 minutes. 8. Once the coffee has fully dripped through, stir it well with the sweetened condensed milk to create an authentic Vietnamese Coffee. 9. For iced coffee, after brewing, simply add ice cubes and stir. 10. If you prefer strong black coffee, just skip the condensed milk and enjoy the robust flavor of Vietnamese coffee on its own.
